250-753-9997
bgrant@island.net
Bob has spent most of his adult life on the water as a recreational boater and commercial fisherman. In his work with small craft harbours up and down the coast he has become acutely aware of the importance of protecting the sensitive fish habitat within these harbours. He looks forward to working with commercial operators on reducing their environmental impacts and raising awareness to these important issues.
Jennifer Rice
North Coast Energy Campaigner
604-624-4147
diverjen@yahoo.com
Jennifer has been active on a wide range of environmental issues on the North Coast, including work with the World Wildlife Fund and with the Headwaters Initiative. She is working on impacts to North Coast watersheds from energy development projects, particularly the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline. The pipeline would threaten a large number of watersheds as it crosses the province from the Alberta Tar Sands and would open up the B.C. coastline to oil tanker traffic and a probable major oil spill.
