Celebrate World Water Day with David Boys, Gwen Barlee & Cliff White

Speakers:

 David Boyes – Utilities Officer, Public Services International and a member of Kofi Annan's special UN  panel on water - will bring a global perspective speaking on the United Nations 2008 year of Sanitation  and issues that communities around the globe have faced in ensuring that sewage treatment meets their needs.

Gwen Barlee – Policy Director for the Western Canada Wilderness Committee – Canada’s largest membership based environmental organization – will talk about the links between protecting the environment and ensuring public control of sewage treatment and other major projects.

Cliff White –  Atlantic Region Organizer for the Council of Canadians – will share the experience of the community of Halifax to develop publicly controlled and affordable sewage treatment.
