There are many ways you take action yourself to help protect fish, fish habitat and our marine environment:

Backyard Actions

YOU can make a difference by making your backyard, whether it is a window ledge, balcony or a national park,  a habitat that supports life.

Write a Letter to the Editor

A letter to the editor is a very effective ways of getting your thoughts known .

Write a Letter to your politician

 Letters to decision-makers let them know what the public is thinking and what the public wants.

Contact a Reporter
Reporters are glad to write about local issues of concern.

Issue a News Release
A news release will get you more than local interest.
Start a Group
Most local conservation groups started small with one unifying issue.
The Foundation relies on donations from people who are concerned about protecting our streams and our ocean. We are a registered charity and all those who donate will receive a charitable tax receipt. Donations can be made online or sent to the Foundation at: First Floor - 326 12th Street, New Westminster, B.C. V3M 4H6. 

  

Backyard Action
Along Your Shoreline Shorelines provide essential habitat for many plant and animal species. Protecting and enhancing these important corridors is important work. You can help protect your local shoreline.
